Top SP: Mike Clevinger ($8,700 DK, $9,400 FD) at LAA

On FanDuel’s main slate, Clayton Kershaw is easily the top starter, but he isn’t included on the DraftKings slate tonight. Instead, we’ll go with Mike Clevinger, who is the top option according to Fade The Noise projections. It will be fun to see what Clevinger can do with a change of scenery with his new team, the Padres. Clevinger didn’t look great in his first four starts of the season, but I’m willing to write off a 22 2/3 inning sample for a guy who posted an elite 2.49 FIP with a 33.9% K-rate in four starts last year. There aren’t many pitchers worth considering tonight outside of Clevinger, as there are tough matchups all around.

Honorable Mention: Andrew Heaney ($8,400 DK, $8,500 FD) at NYM.

OF Whit Merrifield ($5,300 DK, $3,500 FD) vs CWS

Merrifield is quietly having a very productive season for fantasy teams, as he’s got seven homers and seven steals while batting .272. He’ll be batting leadoff for the Royals, a spot where he should score some runs against Dylan Cease. Don’t be fooled by Cease’s results this year, as his 6.19 FIP suggests there’s significant regression coming his way. Cease is walking 11.8% of batters while only striking out 17.6%, so Merrifield is a great play in cash games.

Honorable Mentions: Jonathan Villar, 2B ($4,100 DK, $3,000 FD) at NYM; J.D. Martinez, OF ($5,100 DK, $3,200 FD) vs TOR

Value Batter: 2B Michael Chavis ($3,800 DK, $2,400 FD) vs TOR

Chavis is an upside flier to consider in GPP tournaments, as he should bat fifth in the Red Sox order where he can see some RBI opportunities. Chavis is having a rough season but still has plenty of power potential after crushing 18 homers in 95 games last season. The Red Sox are in a hitter’s park at home against Taijuan Walker, who has a 4.62 FIP, so they are in a spot to score lots of runs. Chavis is virtually free on both sites, providing a way to get in on the action for Boston.

Honorable Mentions: Joc Pederson, OF (N/A on DK, $2,700 FD) vs ARI; Nick Madrigal, 2B ($2,600 DK, $3,000 FD) at KC;

Lineup Stack: Blue Jays at Red Sox (LHP Martin Perez)

It’s surprising how affordable the Blue Jays bats are against the Red Sox disastrous pitching staff. Martin Perez gets the start for them, and he’s got a 5.49 SIERA and will be in hitter-friendly Fenway Park. Vladimir Guerrero Jr./strong>., Randal Grichuk, and Teoscar Hernandez are the main targets in this lineup, although anybody in Toronto’s order can be used as part of a stack tonight.

Honorable Mentions: Red Sox vs Blue Jays (Walker).
