Every morning we review the nastiest pitches from the previous day’s games in glorious HD GIFs. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pitch and check back this weekend to see if it will be in contention for the GIF of the Second Half Contest. Did we miss your favorite pitch? Send us a tweet next time @ThePitcherList and we’ll GIF it up + give you a shoutout here in the article.

Corey Knebel’s Curveball – Once he slotted into the closer role, Knebel ran away with the job in Milwaukee on the back of his hard Fastball and heavy deuce. He took care of business against the Pirates Monday evening, including making David Freese look silly on his Curveball early in the ninth.

Joe Kelly’s Fastball – Kelly not only throws an upper 90s heater, but he does so with a good amount of movement. While this pitch didn’t hit its spot exactly, we loved how much bend it had to curl back over the plate at a blistering 97mph to Welington Castillo.

Clayton Kershaw’s Curveball – Yes, Kershaw allowed a grand-slam in the sixth inning yesterday. He also did his part to escape the jam by fanning Nick Williams with his signature Curveball that broke a ton to fall into the bottom of the zone.

Dylan Bundy’s Slider – Bundy ran into plenty of trouble against the Red Sox, but was looking like his reborn self prior as he made stingy slugger Mookie Betts go fishing on this perfectly executed Slider down-and-away. If only Bundy can find the feel for this all the time.

Aroldis Chapman’s Fastball – You know Chapman throws hard, but we couldn’t help but feature The Cuban Missile ending Monday’s affair with an overpowering 104mph heater. There’s just nothing you can do. (Thanks to  for the tip!)

Craig Kimbrel’s Curveball – This pitch didn’t come close to landing in the zone, which should tell you plenty about the vicious bite Kimbrel gets on his Knuckle-Curve. It reminds me of a classic Jose Fernandez Curveball to Yasiel Puig back in 2014.
