Every morning we review the nastiest pitches from the previous day’s games in glorious HD GIFs. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pitch and check back this weekend to see if it will be in contention for the GIF of the Second Half. Did we miss your favorite pitch? Chris Archer’s Slider – The Rays starter took another yet loss Tuesday, but the truth is that much of his record can be attributed to a lack of run support. He doesn’t need any help, however, when it comes to racking up K’s, like he did here against Andrew Toles with a 90-mph hard slider with ridiculous movement.

Gio Gonzalez’s Curveball– Gonzalez earned a quality start Tuesday against the Tribe, but a blown save by Jonathan Papelbon kept him from a W. During his six innings of work, Gonzalez demonstrated how to handle a lefty batter by sitting down Jason Kipnis with a roundhouse Curveball.

Noah Syndergaard’s Fastball – Thor was at it again, striking out eight Cardinals Tuesday. One of his victims was Greg Garcia, who didn’t even bother swinging at this scorching 100-mph Fastball that might have just barely missed the zone, but was too pretty not to call a strike.

Jerad Eickhoff’s Curveball – Eickhoff struck out eight batters in the seven innings he pitched Tuesday against the Marlins. His infamous Curveball was on display the whole time, like this tight breaking ball that completely froze Tom Koehler.

Kyle Hendricks’ Changeup – Even though his scoreless streak was snapped Tuesday, Hendricks still owns a pristine 2.39 ERA on the season. Maintaining that average will be easy as long as he keeps throwing absolute filth like this Changeup that slid down and away from Justin Morneau.

Tyler Wilson’s Curveball – Wilson threw four perfect innings of relief Tuesday against the Rockies. He struck out three along the way, including the hot-hitting Trevor Story, who couldn’t lay off this sweeping Curveball.
