Chaz Roe’s Slider – The flow in the hair, the bend on the pitch, Chaz Roe has it all going for him in this frame. Whit Merrifield looks like a lost man here.

Felipe Vazquez’s Changeup – This dirty Changeup would look even better if Felipe was wearing his “Nightmare” Player’s Weekend jersey that he’s set to wear this coming weekend for the second consecutive year. Changeups like this one are the reason the moniker is warranted.

Noah Syndergaard’s Sinker – Noah Syndergaard throws hard, people. I don’t know if you were all aware. Austin Slater’s hideous swing just says it all here. Thor has got some of the most electric stuff in the game.

Trevor Richards‘ Changeup – Trevor Richards had a nice line last night in a home matchup against the Yankees, going 5 1/3 with two earned runs and nine strikeouts. This Changeup here to The Mighty Giancarlo Stanton demonstrates why he has sneaky intrigue to fantasy baseballers.

Stephen Strasburg’s Curveball – Strasburg was knocked around for the second start in a row, failing to get through the fifth frame with a putrid six earned runs, but I have to give him credit for this beautiful hook here that freezes Rhys Hoskins.

Walker Buehler’s Changeup – Last night at Dodger Stadium featured an awesome pitching matchup between Jack Flaherty and Walker BuehlerBuehler had a dominant outing, pitching seven innings of one run ball with a career high of nine strikeouts. Pitches like this Changeup to Matt Carpenter have me feeling like this career high of nine won’t stand for too long.

Jordan Hicks‘ Sinker – As a Dodger fan, this is so masochistic of me to include the final pitch of another brutal late-inning loss as the season enters a free-fall, but I have to give credit where credit is due, and Jordan Hicks flamethrower merits a spot here yet again…sigh.

Adam Ottavino’s Slider – Personally, Adam Ottavino has my favorite Slider of any righty in the game. This pitch is a wicked thing of beauty. Travis Jankowski is involuntarily playing hopscotch cause he’s so off-balance.

Lifelong Dodger fan. Left the famous 2004 Steve Finley walk-off homer game in the ninth inning to clinch the division because his Giants fan cousin was late for work. Would've stayed, but I was nine.

The depth on the sliders from Roe and Ottavino is unreal. 1A+1B.

Sometimes I think you need a “too many dirty pitches pick one”. Today would be one of those days.

  3. J says:

Yesterday was the best nasty pitch day in recent memory. These are all excellent
