Blake Snell’s Curveball – Snell was masterful on Thursday, striking out eight in six scoreless innings. His curveball looked like a meatball down the middle here to Eduardo Nunez, before diving down and in. Nasty.

Luis Castillo’s Fastball – 95 mile per hour cheese that breaks in on a right-hander is never fun, and in this case both Josh Harrison and catcher Tony Cruz had trouble with this one.

Charlie Morton’s Curveball – Check out this yo-yo from Morton, who struck out five in six innings of work. He located this thing perfectly off the plate, getting Edwin Encarnacion grasping at straws.

Mike Clevinger’s Changeup – It wasn’t the prettiest start from Clevinger on Thursday, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t have some nasty stuff. Check out this changeup that was perfectly placed on the outside black, leaving Marwin Gonzalez flailing at air.

Steven Matz’s Curveball – This pitch is located beautifully, breaking right onto the outside black. By the time Zach Davies realized it was going to be a strike, it was too late. Filthy.

Blake Treinen’s Fastball – 99 with movement that late is unfair. This pitch breaks in on poor Mike Zunino, with most of the movement in the last few feet. A truly unhittable pitch from Treinen.

Collin McHugh’s Curveball – McHugh brought out this delicious 68 mile per hour curveball on Thursday, absolutely stupefying Melky Cabrera who took an almighty hack and came up with air. Always good to keep hitters guessing, and pitches like this certainly stick with you.
