Shane Bieber Total Ks: O/U 7.5

Until Shane Bieber lets me down, I will continue to go with him. He has yet to strike out fewer than 8 batters in any start yet this season and he was at his best in his last start with 11 in 7 shutout innings against the Tigers. The Pirates are just downright abysmal at the plate and the FTN Bets’ Hot Hitter Tool shows an unsurprising dearth of Pittsburgh hitters. They have struck out 28.6% of the time in the past week, good for 4th highest in baseball, pointing to a big outing for Bieber tonight.

Pick: Over 7.5 Ks (-112 DK, -104 FD)

Rangers at Padres Run Line

The Padres are must-watch TV every single night. Grand slams in three consecutive games and the best young player in baseball right now in Fernando Tatís, Jr. would be enough. Throw in the electric Dinelson Lamet and this is the game I will have on the main TV tonight. San Diego has averaged 7.2 runs per game in their last five which should be more than enough against a Rangers team that has scuffled over the past week (77 wRC+). Lamet has allowed just 1 ER in each of his 5 starts this season and should give the Padres plenty of breathing room.

Pick: Padres -1.5 (+110 DK, +108 FD)

Giants Total Runs: O/U 4.5

Don’t look now but the San Francisco Giants are heating up at the plate, averaging 6.2 runs per game over the last 6 games. LHP Jose Suarez makes his season debut for the Angels after pitching to a ghastly 7.11 ERA (5.71 xFIP) in 2019. The Giants feature lefty mashers in Austin Slater, Mike Yastrzemski, and Wilmer Flores, not to mention guys like Brandon Belt and Brandon Crawford who are seeing the ball well according to the Hot Hitter Tool. 5 runs is well within reach for San Francisco tonight and I like the over for their run total tonight.

Pick: Over 4.5 (-103 DK)
