Michael Chavis Total Hits O/U 0.5
To say that Michael Chavis enjoys facing Tampa Bay lefty Ryan Yarbrough would be a colossal understatement. Ask this cardboard fan if Chavis likes stepping in the box against Yarbrough:

In his short time at the major league level, Chavis is 6-for-8 against the tall lefty with a pair of home runs. You saw the incredible blast Chavis hit off Yarbrough on Aug. 5 above, but he also had two singles off him in that game as well. All we are looking for is one hit from Chavis, and if history is any indicator, he should have no issues getting there.
Pick: Over 0.5 Hits (-177 DK)
Twins @ Brewers Total Runs O/U 8.5
Two of the more surprising starting pitchers to start the season face off when the Twins travel to Milwaukee. Randy Dobnak and Adrian Houser aren’t household names; in fact, I’d go as far to say that even moderate baseball followers aren’t aware of their existence. In 27 combined innings, the two have given up just two earned runs and neither has given one up since July. The Twins surprisingly have been a middling offensive team this season (101 wRC+) and are in the midst of a lengthy road trip. Outside of Keston Hiura and Christian Yelich, nobody in the Brewers lineup strikes fear into opposing pitchers (88 wRC+), and even their two studs have struggled for the most part in 2020.
Pick: Under 8.5 (-109 DK, -108 FD)
Athletics @ Angels Total Runs O/U 9.5
In prior years, a pitching matchup between Sean Manaea and Julio Teheran might inspire a pick for the under, but that is not the case tonight. In three starts so far, Manaea has been unable to limit opponents to under four runs and has yet to make it through the 5th inning. Teheran was equally as unimpressive in his one start in 2020, allowing two earned runs in 2.2 IP against Seattle. FTN Bets’ Hot Hitter Report shows us that center fielders Mike Trout and Ramon Laureano have been two of the hottest hitters in the majors over the past week, and the A’s as a team have been scorching hot, scoring 41 runs in that time with a 142 wRC+. FTN Bets’ Odds has the total at 9, and I love the over here. If you are feeling as confidant as I am, you might even want to check out the alternate totals, as over 10.5 is currently at +140 on DraftKings and +132 on FanDuel.
Pick: Over 9 (-125 DK, -124 FD)
Kyle Stanzel Overall Record: 6-6
