Every morning we review the nastiest pitches from the previous day’s games in glorious HD GIFs. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pitch and and check back this weekend to see if it will be in contention for the GIF of the First Half. Did we miss your favorite pitch? Send us a tweet next time @ThePitcherList and we’ll GIF it up + give you a shoutout here in the article.

Adam Wainwright’s Curveball – Waino hasn’t been featured too much this year as he’s still trying to get back to the old Waino we know and love. Yesterday featured some of what we remember with this classic hook to opposing pitcher John Lackey.

Kelvin Herrera’s Slider – It’s been one incredible year for Herrera now that he’s featuring a Slider with unreal bite.  It broke so much that Twins’ catcher Kurt Suzuki had a discussion with the umpire despite catching the inside corner.  (Thanks to Redditors Moore15 and Natrone011 for the tip!)

Rich Hill’s Curveball – A day after getting a 54 MPH pitch from Alfredo Simonwe also get this 61 MPH Slow-Curveball from Hill that stunned Chris Iannetta to end the fourth inning.  Talk about a fun 0-2 pitch. (Thanks to Redditor rhcpflea8 for the tip!)

Drew Pomeranz’s Cutter – I really really like this pitch from Pomeranz.  It starts off looking like a perfect Fastball right on the inside corner to Buster Posey before getting new life and darting into Posey’s thighs, sneaking under his bat.  Pure filth.

Gio Gonzalez’s Curveball – While Gio had a third inning he hopes to have forgotten by now, he was looking sharp in his first two frames.  This Curveball to Eric Campbell is as good as they come from Gio and well earned the backwards K.  (Thanks to Redditor Matugi1 for the tip!)

Johnny Cueto’s Changeup – It was Cueto’s third game against the Padres and his third time this year going the distance.  He mixed and matched all night and fooled Matt Kemp badly on this Changeup that fell off the table.

Clayton Kershaw’s Curveball – Another night, another CGSHO for the great Kershaw as he dismantled the Reds.  His Curveball was everything it’s supposed to be and made Adam Duvall look silly on this 0-1 pitch.
