Tyrell Jenkins
San Diego Padres

64.1% Thrown  91.2 MPH

It's Four-Seamers galore with Jenkins, though it doesn't come paired with a high flyball rate but rather the opposite - a low 18.6% mark as he cruised to a 54.2% groundball mark in 2016. Consistently locations down in the zone will do that. Bad news here is how hittable the pitch is when Jenkins doesn't hit his spot as batters earned a whopping .256 ISO against the straight heater last season.

19.9% Thrown  80.1 MPH

Jenkins turns to his Slider most of his secondary pitches, but it did him little help in 2016 as it allowed 35.7% line drives and held just a 9.1% whiff rate. He couldn't locate it in the zone often either, holding a questionable 35.4% zone rate.

15.9% Thrown  82.1 MPH

Jenkins' most effective pitch was a Changeup that held batters to a low .167 BAA across its small sample of 142 pitches. Oddly enough, the slow ball had more "rise" than Jenkins' Four-Seamer.
