Today we will take look at the updated non-closer reliever market as there are some changes to the list since our previous installment. Keep in mind, just because a player is ranked below another player (especially when in the same tier), that doesn’t mean you need to rush to drop them for a higher ranked player. These rankings are mostly to be used on a tier by tier scale and apply towards the pitcher’s value for the rest of the season.
- Hector Rondon, one of the most underutilized relievers to date, has seen an uptick in hold chances and even worked a scoreless ninth to pick up a save yesterday. I don’t think we can expect many saves in the future, but for at least he is starting to gain some traction in deeper hold leagues.
- Other big movers up the board include Drew Steckenrider, Jose Leclerc, Sam Dyson, Adam Cimber and Michael Lorenzen. The biggest fallers this past week were Michael Feliz, Jace Fry, Adam Morgan and Seung Hwan-Oh.
- It was a relatively slow week for relievers, as only Archie Bradley was able to total 3 holds. Just a reminder how volatile holds can be on a week to week basis outside of the top 1-2 tiers.
