Rich Hill’s Curveballs – Despite looking a little shaky in the early going, Hill was able to give the Dodgers four frames of just one run ball while fanning seven batters. His Curveball made it happen, earning nearly identical punchouts to Marwin Gonzalez and Carlos Correa with a Curveball that traveled plenty more than it had any right to.

Ken Giles‘ Slider – Despite allowing the game-tying runs in the bottom of the 10th, Giles still had some great pitches to take note of. Our favorite example was this Slider that fell off the table to Corey Seager for an opening strikeout in the ninth.

Justin Verlander’s Curveballs – Verlander pitched incredibly well, allowing just four baserunners in six frames…despite allowing 3 ER total. We loved watching him take down Cody Bellinger with the same filthy hook in two different at-bats, getting the assumed NL ROY twice on Curveballs well spotted right in the bottom and inside corner of the zone.

Brandon Morrow’s Fastball – Morrow has been a big reason why the Dodgers’ pen has been lights out this postseason and this pitch to Evan Gattis should explain how he’s done it. Check out the crazy movement he got on this 97mph that carved up Gattis for the whiff.

Kenley Jansen’s Cutter – It was a rough evening for Jansen, who allowed an inherited runner to score in the eighth, then allowed the game-tying longball to Marwin Gonzalez in the top of the ninth. Nevertheless, he seemed in control following the eighth frame after ending the inning with an excellent Cutter that started along the inside corner before peeling off the plate where Brian McCann couldn’t touch it.
