Every morning we review the nastiest pitches from the previous day’s games in glorious HD GIFs. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pitch and and check back this weekend to see if it will be in contention for the GIF of the First Half. Did we miss your favorite pitch? Send us a tweet next time @ThePitcherList and we’ll GIF it up + give you a shoutout here in the article.

Matt Harvey’s Changeup – Harvey wasn’t at the top of his game against the Reds, but it was a big first step in the right direction, collecting his first five outs via the strikeout.  He fanned Adam Duvall to start the second inning on this luscious Changeup that makes a small Keith Hernandez “mmmmm” when you watch it. (Thanks to Redditor Ryuuken1789 for the tip!)

Jose Berrios‘ Curveball – It was the MLB debut for Minnesota’s big name prospect and the end line didn’t represent how impressive at times the 21-year-old looked.  He flashed his upside often through the start, including when he struck out Jason Kipnis in the third with a heavy Curveball.  Check out our GIF Breakdown of Berrios’ first start for more Berrios GIFs and analysis of his debut.

Adam Wainwright’s Curveball – 2016 has been a struggle for Wain-o and last night didn’t instill confidence that he’s back on track.  Nevertheless, his Curveball isn’t the source of his troubles and it looked mighty good as it fooled Yasmany Tomas in the second inning.

Justin Verlander’s Fastball – JV has turned it around since returning from the DL in 2015 and he did a good job of dismantling the Oakland offense en route to a Win Wednesday night.  He tied up Billy Butler to conclude the second with an excellent Two-Seamer that never stopped riding inside. (Thanks to @fawkes_mulder for the tip!)

Gio Gonzalez’s Curveball – Gonzalez has had a great start to 2016, and last night was no different against the Phillies.  His hook looked good, especially this big deuce to Maikel Franco for the strikeout.
