Every morning we review the five best pitches from the previous day’s games in glorious HD GIFs. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pitch and and check back this weekend to see if it will be in contention for the GIF of the Week. Did we miss your favorite pitch? Send us a tweet next time @ThePitcherList and we’ll GIF it up + give you a shoutout here in the article.

Kevin Gausman’s Split-Change – Gausman had a fantastic final start to 2015 as he struck out ten Toronto batters in eight innings of work. He fanned Ezequiel Carrera in the fourth with an excellent Split-Change that gets nastier every time you watch it.

Masahiro Tanaka’s Fastball – It was a tough first inning for the Japanese import, but Tanaka settled in nicely through the later innings. He embarrassed Xander Bogaerts after causing the young Red Sock to fall over after missing this Fastball. (Thanks to Reddit user Intelligenttrees for the tip!)

Anthony DeSclafani’s Curveball – Tony Disco had a rollercoaster season in his first year donning a Reds uniform, exemplified by his hot start in yesterday’s game that fell apart by the end. Still, he threw some great pitches early on like this big bender to Addison Russell.

Marcus Stroman’s Fastball – No one expected Stroman to be pitching in any capacity this season after tearing his ACL in spring training. However, he’s returned and in full force, showing his dominance at the right time. To get an idea of what he can do, watch this pinpointed inside Fastball that completely froze Ryan Flaherty.

Tyler Lyons‘ Slider – Lyons doesn’t get much love around the majors, but he has been a solid backup starter for the Cardinals through the year. His Slider did some fun things Wednesday night, like this wicked movement to get Jordy Mercer.

Jose Quintana’s Curveball – Quietly in Chicago, Quintana has been a steady producer for the White Sox. His Curveball is a big reason why and threw this nasty hook to K Kendrys Morales.
