Every morning we review the five best pitches from the previous day’s games in glorious HD GIFs. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pitch and check back this weekend to see if it will be in contention for the “GIF of the Week”. Did we miss your favorite pitch? Send us a tweet next time @ThePitcherList and we’ll GIF it up + give you a shoutout here in the article.

James Shields‘ Changeup – Sure, Shields’ torrent strikeout pace has slowed down, but the Padres ace still holds one of the best Changeups around. Hunter Pence doesn’t come close to making contact as the ball falls off the table for strike three.

Kyle Hendricks‘ Fastball – Front-door Fastballs are all the rage these days, and Hendricks has everyone swooning. There’s no better way to show it off than watching perennial batting title contender Joey Votto give a weak hack as this 88 MPH Fastball nips the inside corner.

Julio Teheran’s Slider – It was the first time Julio struck out 11 batters since July of 2014, and his Slider was a big reason why. Check it out as it explodes off the plate to get a whiff from Howie Kendrick.

Collin McHugh’s Curveball – He’s had one of the biggest hooks in the game, and he flashed it in his outing against the Red Sox on Wednesday. It’s hard not to crack a smile as Brock Holt misses this pitch by a foot.

Jose Fernandez’s Fastball – In case you’ve been living under a rock (who does that?), JoFer is back and he is simply dealing. Watch him dial it up to 99 MPH against Chris Owings en route to 11 strikeouts.
