Every morning we review the five best pitches from the previous day’s games in glorious HD GIFs. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pitch and check back this weekend to see if it will be in contention for the “GIF of the Week”. Did we miss your favorite pitch? Send us a tweet next time @ThePitcherList and we’ll GIF it up + give you a shoutout here in the article.

Corey Kluber’s Slider – So the pitch itself doesn’t look too spectacular, even though it buckled the knees of Alex Rios. However, once you get the behind-the-plate angle, you begin to realize how tough it is to hit Kluber’s breaker. I think we’d all have missed this one.

Mike Foltynewicz’s Curveball – Folty is back on the hill starting for the Braves and throwing some nasty stuff. Mixed in with his 95 MPH heater was a big hook that came in nearly 20 MPH slower, and it gave Manny Machado a tough time to start the evening.

Hector Rondon’s Fastball – Rondon is now the closer for the Cubs once again and shut the door swiftly against the Rockies on Thursday. If only he could place his lively 98 MPH Two-Seamer on the black like this pitch to Nolan Arenado every time. (Thanks to @TheBlogFines for the tip!)

Chris Archer’s Slider – You’ve probably watched the GIF and thought “that was pretty good.” Did you also notice that this comes in at 89 MPH, i.e. the same speed of Mike FiersFastball? Yeah.

Jon Lester’s Curveball – It was prime Lester yesterday afternoon as he mowed down 14 Colorado hitters across eight innings of work. He spotted up some great Fastballs, but this Curveball that fooled Ben Paulsen was pretty to watch.
