Every morning we review the five best pitches from the previous day’s games in glorious HD GIFs. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pitch and check back this weekend to see if it will be in contention for the “GIF of the Week”. Did we miss your favorite pitch? Chris Sale’s Fastball – Super shaky fourth and fifth innings through the wet conditions dampened a solid night for Sale. He still made crazy things happen, like striking out Pablo Sandoval on this 0-2 Fastball that hits Panda on the forearm. # JustSaleThings.

Carlos Martinez’s Changeup – It was far from Cmart’s best last night, but he still knows how to throw a lefty a mean Changeup. Corey Dickerson was added to a long list of victims after this well placed pitch.

Matt Shoemaker’s Splitter – It’s a rare roundup today that features five different types of pitches, with Shoemaker representing the newest fad in town – the Splitter. He gets Chris Carter to chase this pitch that completely falls off the table.

Max Scherzer’s Slider – We all know how dominant Scherzer can be, and he mowed down six batters across seven innings of work on Thursday. Take a glimpse into the outing with this Slider to Casey McGehee that glides off the plate.

Aaron Sanchez’s Curveball – After a stint in the rotation, Sanchez has been doing work for the Jays out of the pen. He did well last night, and snapped off this sweet hook to strikeout Alcides Escobar. (Thanks to Reddit user tomstoms for the tip!)
