Brandon Morrow’s Slider – Morrow finally had a day off yesterday and his performance in Game 6 showed it. This tight Slider at a blistering 90mph is as good as it gets from Morrow and Carlos Correa didn’t have a chance.

Justin Verlander’s Curveball – I love this pitch for the sheer boldness of it, given the previous pitch was a hung Slider in the same location that Joc Pederson crushed down the line foul. He stunned the lefty with this big hook, going the extra step in the mental battle to send Pederson back to the dugout.

Justin Verlander’s Slider – We debated if we should feature this loopier Slider or the hard 92mph one to Justin Turner, but we elected to feature this beauty that will most likely get overlooked. Such a hard pitch for Corey Seager to lay off and Verlander earned himself an early strike.

Rich Hill’s Curveballs – Despite getting pulled once again before he could take a crack at facing the Houston lineup for a third time, Hill did a great job holding back “the best offense in the majors,” allowing just 1 ER in 4+ innings. His trademark Curveball put him on the map and beautifully used the pitch twice to take down Jose Altuve in the opening frame.

Luke Gregerson’s Sliders – We’ve seen bullpens fall apart in this series, but Gregerson was able to hold the Dodgers at bay in Game 6, thanks to his wicked Slider. Corey Seager failed three times to hit the pitch in one at-bat, and watching Gregerson nail down his execution with each slide piece was an absolute joy.

Where’s Liriano’s slider to strike out Bellinger to end the eighth? That was filthy.
